A Little Friday Fun - More Amazing MLS Photos

I was searching homes on the MLS today in Lancaster City PA today on behalf of a customer.  I came across a listing that made me wince - so of course I'll share it with you!

Here are the photos - these are all the interior shots plus the main photo for your review...

Call the city!  The top of the house is on fire!

Whoa - I'm gettng dizzy!  Help me find the stairs!

Nice kitchen (I think)! Does the fridge door come with it?

Very romantic-looking windows, don't you think?

Watch out for the light!  Don't go into the light!

Um, OK, Looks like a hallway?

That's IT!  I WANT this house!  I'm shopping on the web where 95% of homebuyers start today and these compelling MLS photos have won me over...not!

The sad truth is that most buyers will skip right past this otherwise decent home and move to homes with light, bright mls photos that SELL the house to them.

If you're looking to sell your home, please remember that there is a difference between real estate professionals.  "Choose Wisely..."

Have a great weekend!

Jeff, I love these posts!  Photos are so important, and it isn't all that hard to take good ones n- geez!  I can do it!

Hi Jeff, What a difference a little bit of effort would make in presenting this property. You are so right. There is a big difference in the way people perceive their responsibility to market properties. Well done!

What a turn off those photos are.  How much effort would it take to add a little light.  Plan the shot, close the refrigerator door, etc.

Lazy.  Too lazy to keep their cigarette smoke out from in front of the camera!

Wow Jeff it looks like this Agent should have called Rooms Like New. Is the Realtor MIA, I would be if I posted these shots. I have family out that way and it is funny to see something close to home.

That house looks like a bad case of Middle of the Nite moving out. They were in such a hurry to high tail it out of there, they left the fridge door open. That screams "RUN" not "BUY ME"

Ok the pictures are bad, but at least that listing had inside photos. On second thought maybe this agent should adopt the philosophy of only exterior photos, or get a new camera with a better flash.

Jeff

We as professional agents should be happy that our competition is using photo's like these. Remember we are not all perfect though sometimes things can not be helped.

Hi Gary - love your name!

We might all not be perfect but when we're getting paid $1000s we need to step up to the plate - even if that means learning a new skill or paying a pro...
